Weekly Highlights: September 23- September 30

NYC

This past week was full of cozy evenings, vintage treasures, and a refreshing wellness reset!

Tuesday: Tea at Rin Tin Tin, Nolita

On Tuesday, I had tea with a friend at Rin Tin Tin in Nolita—a charming neighborhood. Located right next to Elizabeth Street Garden, this Mediterranean spot is one of my favorites for a laid-back evening. If you’re ever exploring Nolita, don’t miss Rubirosa for their iconic pizza. The area is full of gems, though you might want to catch Elizabeth Street Garden while it’s still around—it may be closing soon.

Wednesday: Vegan Mexican at Jajaja, Lower East Side

Midweek, I headed to Jajaja in the Lower East Side for some seriously delicious vegan Mexican food. The menu is vegetarian, and the flavors are bold and creative. One dish you must try is their Nachos—piled high with guacamole, plant-based queso, and black beans. It’s the perfect blend of crunchy, creamy, and spicy.

Thursday: Cozy Vibes at Pause Cafe

Thursday brought me to Pause Cafe, a cozy haven for freelancers, students, and anyone looking to sip on a latte while knocking out some work. It’s such a lovely spot, with a menu full of fresh juices, smoothie bowls, and cute pastries. If you need a place to work or unwind, Pause is a great choice in the LES—if you can find somewhere to sit!

Saturday: Rainy Vintage Outing

Saturday’s rain dampened my plans, so I didn’t explore as much as usual. Plus, I was too scared to take my Canon out in the wild because of how wet it was! 😬 I did make it to East Broadway Mall, which is tucked away in the most unassuming location in Chinatown. Trust me, don’t be put off by the exterior and the surroudings—head up to the second floor, and you’ll find some of the coolest niche vintage shops. A standout is James Veloria, where you can discover unique fashion pieces.

Sunday: Sound Experience at Sage and Sound

To wrap up the week, I treated myself to a sound experience at Sage and Sound, which was exactly what I needed. Their wellness offerings are amazing, from sound baths to facials and massages. It was such a calming way to reset after a hectic week. I’m also hoping to try out more wellness spots soon, like The Well and AIRE Ancient Baths—NYC’s wellness scene is packed with options for relaxation and self-care.

Even with the rain, it was an exciting week of discovery and new experiences. While I don’t have any photos to share (thanks, weather!), these spots are definitely worth checking out :D
