Weekly Highlights: Nov 4-Nov 10
Monday: A Legendary Night at Madison Square Garden with David Gilmour
Monday night was unforgettable: I saw David Gilmour perform live at Madison Square Garden, and it was everything. Seeing one of my favorite artists in such an iconic venue amplified the experience. There’s something magical about live music in a setting like MSG—it makes music you already love resonate on an even deeper level. If you can, I highly recommend seeing your favorite artist live, especially at MSG! It’s an experience that brings the meaning behind the music to life.
Wednesday: Summer in November at Soho House & a Visit to Good Sugar
Wednesday was one of those bizarrely warm November days—78 degrees! I couldn’t let it pass without taking advantage, so I headed to the pool at Soho House as soon as work was done. Meatpacking was buzzing with people enjoying the sun, making it feel more like spring than fall.
I also made a new discovery: Good Sugar. It’s quickly become one of my go-to spots in the city. Good Sugar offers a cool menu of plant-based, nutrient-dense foods. They focus on whole ingredients that are satisfying and designed with wellness in mind. They serve a variety of smoothies, cold-pressed juices, and bowls packed with fresh fruits, greens, and superfoods. One of their staples, the banana bread, is made with oats, dates, and bananas, delivering a natural sweetness without refined sugars—perfect for an energy boost without the crash. They also have hearty salads, vegan pastries, and energizing lattes made with ingredients like matcha and adaptogens. It’s an excellent spot for anyone looking to find tasty, healthy options in the city!
Thursday: Gallery Hopping in the Lower East Side
After enjoying Chelsea’s gallery scene last time, I tried something different and checked out the Lower East Side galleries. The vibe was edgy and much more offbeat. The art here felt much more unconventional. There’s a certain energy in the LES art scene that’s distinctively cool and sceney, very much reflective of the neighborhood.
Saturday: Le Dive & A Williamsburg
I met a friend at Le Dive, which is an absolute gem. Known for its bistro-style menu and cozy, chic vibe, Le Dive has quickly gained popularity since it opened, and it didn’t disappoint. The artichoke, falafel, and grapefruit cold brew were standout items that I can’t recommend enough. Le Dive is becoming known for its unique twist on small plates, and its ambiance is just as appealing—a great spot for a weekend meetup.
After Le Dive, I headed to Williamsburg for some more weekend exploring. I always find myself on North 6th Street, which has fantastic shopping and an overall great vibe for an evening stroll.
Sunday: Morning Walk Over the Bridge & Coffee at Devoción
Sunday wrapped up the week beautifully with yet another walk over the Williamsburg Bridge. I stopped by Devoción for my favorite drink: the Aromática, a warming blend of tea and fruit perfect for a fall morning. My friend tried their famous guava croissant, the go-to pastry there!
Reflecting on this week, it was a mix of everything that makes NYC special: live music, art, food, and the city’s ever-surprising weather. Here’s to more unexpected adventures next week!
